The Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction will be announced by its sponsor, Richard Buccleuch, at the Borders Book Festival on Saturday 18 June.
The shortlisted authors for this year’s literary prize which includes a commissioned Lindean Mill Glass panel as well as £25,000 are Allan Massie, Simon Mawer, Lucy Treloar, Gavin McCrea, William Boyd and Patrick Gale.
